PALM SPRINGS TRAVEL GUIDE: PLACES TO EXPLORE + FUN THINGS TO DO!

HELLO FRIENDS!

Palm Springs is definitely on the top of my list if you’re in need of a sunny getaway, wanting to relax poolside + explore the beautiful landscapes of the desert. Between the endless palm trees, sunshine + the beauty of the California desert, my heart is always the happiest whenever I get a chance to visit. For this trip, I had the wonderful opportunity of getting to reunite with one of my lifelong best friends + explore this lovely area with her by my side for the duration of my visit!

We had 10 days of endless fun + adventures from dancing our heart’s out at the Coachella Music Festival, exploring Joshua Tree National Park + wandering through the sweet city of Palm Springs. My heart is so full from the places we’ve visited + from all of the memories we made along the way!

This city is such a fun + relaxing place to visit + also a great place to take some beautiful pictures too! I’ve put together a Palm Springs Travel Guide that highlights some wonderful places to explore + fun things to do while you’re in the area! I hope you enjoy this Travel Guide + get to experience these great places yourself!

AERIAL TRAM

I can honestly say that riding the Aerial Tram was one of the highlights of my trip. Thanks to Visit Palm Springs I got to ride the Palm Springs Aerial Tram that takes you from the valley, past the cliffs of Chino Canyon + up to the Mountain Station at an elevation of 8,516 feet! The views were absolutely breathtaking + one of the best parts was getting to hike some of the trails around Mt. San Jacinto State Park at the top. It was such a fun + beautiful experience getting to see the California desert from a completely new perspective.

JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK: CHOLLA CACTUS GARDEN

Joshua Tree National Park is a true gem. I can never get enough of this beautiful place + it’s extraordinary landscapes. I fell in love with this place even more so when we stopped at the Cholla Cactus Garden. I found so much bliss walking through this lovely cactus garden, laughing with my sweet friends + watching the sun set behind the hills. Joshua Tree is such a beautiful place to explore + will always put a smile on my face. I highly recommend checking out the Cholla Cactus Garden for a quick + lovely stop in the park!

MOORTEN BOTANICAL GARDEN

Being in the midst of the California desert, I couldn’t get enough of all of the beautiful cacti! If you know me, you know that I have a HUGE heart for plants - especially sweet little succulents, so visiting the Moorten Botanical Garden was a must! Showcasing over 3,000 types of succulents, cactus + other desert plants from all over the world - I was truly in my element + in plant heaven!

PALM SPRINGS NEIGHBOORHOODS

Driving + wandering around the city of Palm Springs, I was in awe of all of the vibrant bougainvillea flowers in bloom - I knew the second I arrived I had to get a pictures of these beautiful flowers! So one day, my friend + I took an evening stroll around a lovely Palm Springs neighborhood, Tahquitz River Estates, to admire the flowers + the mid-century modernism desert homes. The Tahquitz River Estates was such a peaceful + wonderful neighborhood to walk around + is definitely one of my new favorite gems around the area!
